Burak Sezercan

Chief Executive Officer

Burak Sezercan earned his bachelor's degree in Political Science and International Relations from Boğaziçi University in 1996 and completed his master’s degree of Banking and International Finance in City University Cass Business School (England ) in 2002. Before joining Is Asset Management as General Manager in August 2021, Sezercan worked as Retail Banking Marketing Manager at Is Bank, where he previously had a career as Inspector on the Board of Inspectors in 1996, Risk Management Assistant Manager in 2005, Risk Management Department Unit Manager in 2008 and Strategy and Corporate Performance Management Manager in 2011. During his professional life, he also served as Board Member at İş Gayrimenkul Yatırım Ortaklığı (Is REIC) (2009-2011), Is Private Equity (2011-2013), Camiş Madencilik A.Ş (2013-2014), Milli Re (2014-2016), Anadolu Hayat Emeklilik A.Ş. (2016-2018) and Erişim Müşteri Hizmetleri A.Ş. (2016-2021).

Nilüfer Sezgin

Executive Vice President

After graduating from Boğaziçi University with B.A. and M.A. degrees in Economics in 2003 and 2005, respectively, Sezgin developed 18 years of experience in the finance sector. She assumed active roles as teaching and research assistants during her academic life. She began her professional career in the financial sector in 2005 as Economist, before taking Chief Economist posts in reputable local and international investment houses between 2011- 2015. In 2015, she joined İş Asset Management and worked as Chief Economist until 2020. Nilüfer Sezgin has been appointed as Executive Vice President in April 2020 and she is in charge of Distribution Channel and Management, Investment Advisory and Sales and Corporate Communications Departments in İş Asset Management.

Hüseyin Gayde, CFA

Executive Vice President

Hüseyin Gayde started his professional career in the banking sector in 1999 and worked at the Treasury Unit, before moving to İş Asset Management in 2002 where he assumed various roles in the Research and Portfolio Management departments until 2010. Gayde had similar experiences in the asset management sector outside of İş Asset Management between 2010 and 2014, before resuming his career at İş Asset Management in 2014 as the Head of Research. Since then Gayde lead the Pension Funds Portfolio Management team, Equity Funds Portfolio Management team and eventually promoted as the Director of the Fixed Income, Equity and Multi-Asset Portfolio Management teams in 2020. In 1997, Gayde graduated from Boğaziçi University, Department of Business Administration and completed master’s degree in 1999. He continues to serve as Executive Vice President responsible for Financial and Administrative Affairs and Portfolio Management Department-Markets at Is Portfolio.

Selim Kocaoğlu

Executive Vice President

Selim Kocaoğlu began his career in the asset management sector in 2000 as an assistant specialist in the Research Department. Until 2010, he managed investment funds, pension funds, and individual and institutional private client portfolios. He began his career at İş Asset Management in 2010 in the Corporate and Private Asset Management department and worked as the Asset Manager of Investment Funds, the Head of the Corporate Private Asset Management Department, and the Head of the Alternative Investment Products Department until 2020. In 2020, he was appointed as the Director responsible for Venture Capital and Real Estate Investment Funds Departments. He continues to carry out his duties in İş Asset and also holds responsibilities in the real estate and venture companies within the fund portfolios. He completed his undergraduate education in Civil Engineering at Boğaziçi University in 1999 and his MBA at Koç University in 2001. In 2024, Selim Kocaoğlu was appointed as the Deputy General Manager responsible for Venture Capital Investment Funds, Real Estate Investment Funds, Research and Human Resources Departments at İş Asset Management.
